We have been in touch with Germany’s biggest and most widely-read magazine “Bild” about our continuing struggle against so-called welfare ‘reform’ and austerity cuts being imposed by the UK Government on disabled people.The magazine is very interested in running a story and they’ve asked us to supply them with actual case studies of people who have lost their benefits/lives as a result of the DWP/AtoS assessment régime.
We would need to supply them very quickly. Their interest is very high (at the moment) with the paralympics and we’d hate to miss this opportunity to internationise our cause – and hopefully turn up the heat a few notches on the U.K. Government!

Check out Germany’s answer to ESA, Hartz IV. It’s pretty grim, but the disabled are no where near targeted like in the UK.

I would just like to reassure everyone that Bild is NOT exactly like the Sun/News of the world (sorry Clare) but also not the Times. It is the most read magazine by the common people in Germany and if they can help us to spread our message internationally that is surely good for us ? They do not write about things without having enough and proper information…therefore they are after authentic stories from individuals and will not take a story just on “word by mouth”. Please do not dismiss that fantastic opportunity !!! thank you to all.
