‘Benefits man found hanged, inquest heard’
Thursday 23rd February 2012
A MAN who had “significant worries” was found hanging in his home by a neighbour, a Burnley inquest heard.
Craig Monk, 43, of Curlew Gardens, Burnley, was found dead on October 3.
Ken Morphet, Mr Monks’ half brother, told the hearing that four years ago Mr Morphet finished work when an accident left him needing a partial amputation of his leg.
Mr Monk who was described by his family as “vulnerable” had previously taken overdoses of anti-depressants and painkillers.
Neighbour Kevin Martin said the last time he saw Mr Monk he was worried that his benefits had been cut.
The cause of death was hanging.
Coroner Richard Taylor recorded that he took his own life.

Cameron the killer – R.I.P Craig – they cannot torment you anymore…..many more will follow……due to this evil ideology.
I accuse the current UK coalition of Involuntary manslaughter.
Tory Scum should Not be in Office
CAMERON SHOULD BE MADE TO HANG HIS HEAD IN SHAME HE HAS BLOOD ON HIS HANDS HOW MANY MORE ARE TAKING THEIR LIFE AND WHEN WILL THIS PLIGHT OF OUR MOST VULNERABLE BE BROAD CAST ON TV AND MEDIA OVER A LONG PERIOD OF TIME SITUATIONS ARE NOW CLEAR WAKE UP BRITAIN HELLO REPORTERS ARE YOU BEING GAGGED
Dont forget it was Labour who introduced the wonderful capability assessments and ATOS who have won most of the areas contracts to do all the medicals for everyone on DLA changing to PIP. Its sad times when you use a disabled family member as a trumph card to win votes then bully the people you swore to help to the point of death with a barbaric inhumane benefit system which the few fakers are still managing to get past, yet genuine people in need are failing the assessments.
Shame on the voters who believe their scrounger scaremoungering, wait till you or a loved one get sick or injured and need to go through the same minefield disabled and vulnerable people do! It could happen to anyone in the blink of an eye.
