“Mark Hoban, the employment minister, said considerable progress had been made in improving a process that was introduced by Labour. He said it was unhelpful to “demonise” the system with “adverse media coverage”.
Yet his will quite happily “demonise”the disabeled with lies od DWP Figures.

Thank goodness for Michael Meacher and other Labour Party MP’s for standing up for the disabled. Atos should be sacked immediately! There are lives being taken because of this work Capability Assessment! It should never have been used. It doesn’t matter who brought it in, it’s who is putting it into action that needs to be accountable. Stop this barbaric WCA now before more people die. The government are aware of 3,500.00 people dying because of the WCA but have done nothing? Absolutely disgraceful! Stop this now.

I did read a link posted a while back where BMA were complaint.ing about the poor rate of pay for disability assessment that atos and dwp were paying as it was below stastandard rate .

Having watched the debate with great interest, and after hearing the overwhelming evidence by the sheer number of horror stories being told, by members of all parties, I pray the Government will finally get the message and concede some ground on this matter.

Judging by the Employment Ministers response however, refusing to acknowledge that either they, the Government, or Atos have done anything wrong, I very much doubt it..

The debate in the house of commons will only add weight to samuel miller’s case to the ICC (international Criminal Court) in the Hague against several british ministers, namely Ian Duncan Smith,Chris Grayling and Maria Miller. lets hope they will get what they ‘Richly Deserve’ a long prison sentance and the biggest ‘fine in history’ that wipes out their fortunes, so they have to sign on for job seekers and end up getting ‘Sanctioned themselves, and then see them complain and see it ‘FALL ON DEAF EARS’ What a Fantastic day that would be. HA HA HA HA HA.:)

Stephen Timms, the shadow minister of state for employment, said: “The architecture of employment and support allowance is sound. The assessment system, however, is clearly not up to the load it is being asked to bear.”

While we continue to challenge and condemn the present Government for the horrific scandal they have created and continue to perpetuate, this kind of statement from Labour also needs to be strongly challenged.

The assessment system supports the whole architecture of ESA. It is the centrepiece of the whole horrendous system.

The methodology and the design of the WCA itself is clearly flawed, as well as its implementation and delivery by ATOS.

It is not just a matter of who is delivering it.

The WCA test itself is demonstrably flawed as is clear through its horrendous results.

Its design, methodology and descriptors are a bizarre hotch potch of factors which have little to do with any real world work environment that I’ve ever come across.

It is scandalous that the enormity of the present ESA system has been built upon it.

    1. Christopher says:

He tells her not to worry about the rumours that some poor people are dying, reminds her how rich he is, and she gets as wet as a weekend in skeggy

  9. murphy says:

Please also be aware that the descriptors for ESA have been altered, with effect from the 28th of Jan, so that Regulation 29 includes the additional proviso that substantial risk now excludes circumstances where the risk to health could be reduced by the claimant taking prescribed medication. This, along with other amendments to the regs mean they are making it increasingly difficult to claim ESA but, more worryingly, they seem to be preparing the way for some kind of conditionality for accepting medication or treatment by claimants.

A cross eyed atos examiner who was new to the area he was sent to, accidently walked into a hospital mortuary….
Before he left, 27 people were found capable of work……

Yesterdays attempt by cross party members to bring a halt to the ethnic cleansing of disabled in uk was welcomed throughout our community. It stands as a testament to the good MPs who stand up for the weakest in society. For once i felt proud that i was being represented properly.
Who needs enemies when we have tossers like Stephen Timms. He was as good as a sunroof in a submarine. What he said was tantamount to a huge kick in the bollocks for the disabled and poor. What an inept footnote to a debate that was otherwise brilliant.
Timms should hang his head in shame, a complete traitor to the cause of so many. Hoban was just a cardboard cutout who tried to pretend that the debate never took place, a substitute for IDS who hadnt got the bottle to attend…..
Under the terms of the freedom of information act i have challenged the BBC to explain why they they give no coverage via the news, to show the truth of this NEW HOLOCAUST.
They sit on the sidelines and report nothing.Their actions and the actions of the biased media is giving support to a regime that is happy to sit back and allow the state to act in such a way that people may lose their lives…
The strength of a society is gauged on how it treats is weakest, what will the history books say?
My incapacity benefits have been stopped after a zero score by a highly rewarded atos nurse. First they took £87.50 per week, then the £71.00 was taken.
Soon they will take away my DLA and then my industrial accident benefit.
I never chose to have a disability. It was not a choice that could be refused.
Reading some of the blogs gives you an idea of how many people have been twisted by the coalition mantra against the poor and disabled. I for one, are not shocked. Its human nature to kick the ones giving the least resistance. They never turn against the bullies because they are craven cowards.
Keep up the good fight everyone. You are a credit to the cause.

The Atos mouthpiece states “Atos are professional and compassionate as possible.”

“[Our workers] strictly follow the guidelines given to them by the government when conducting assessments and make no decisions on a person’s eligibility for benefits.”

“We continually ask for feedback from those claiming benefit.” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    1. So “compassionate and professional” that Atos staff falsify and lie on these assessment reports

    2. “Follow government guidelines when conducting assessments.” Does that mean the government give Atos staff the mandate to lie and falsify the reports?

    3. If Atos are so professional and compassionate then why are recordings not available? And why is every barrier possible put in the way of those who wish their assessment to be recorded?

    4. If Atos make no decisions then why do their workers seem so hell bent on excluding the negatives about someone’s health and disability in their assessment? Why are Doctor’s and Consultant’s reports ignored?

    5. Why do Atos staff recommend a time scale for someone to resume work if they are not making any decisions?

    6. Why do Atos workers try and guess how someone’s health will be in three months time etc? Another decision that Atos are not making!

The DWP like Atos staff are just not medically qualified to make decisions of this nature.
These assessments are illegal – they are so one sided that the patient has virtually no chance of being given a fair assessment, prisoners have better rights. They are not recorded because simply Atos and their staff would be unable to lie on the reports as both sides would have evidence (the recording)

Atos and their supporters should be bounced out of this country and political office and banned forever. Liars…………………………Is that enough feedback?

The guardian mods were busy removing a lot of comments to this article yesterday. ALL comments have now been removed.

This morning they were still there & you could still post, now there’s nothing but the article. Methinks Unum & possibly Atos & DWP have traipsed onto Guardian with Jackboots!

D.W.P and Atos are shabby organisations the employees of which have no interest in or regard for the the welfare of the sick and disabled. The former is rotten to the core from the odious secretary of state and his henchmen to the employees of jobcentre plus. Channel 4’s Dispatches program broadcast in July last year showed the disgraceful way in which Atos operates.

What we require is some of the hackers that freely gave information to Wikileaks, to hack into the DWP and ATOS central computer systems and remove irrefutable information.
This is a conspiracy that needs uncovering. Anti Terrorism laws should be used against a state that terrorises its own people and leads to untimely deaths.
“We are all in this together”, What a crock of shit…….

Thank God Almighty for capable, discerning politicians like Michael Meacher MP.

73 of us dying each week of Atos (DWP)

    https://twitter.com/SoniaPoulton/status/254887806516740096

No record of the 43% of us found fit for work who aren’t working or receiving benefits the following year which will mean nothing to the gangster squad but be of terrible concern to anyone with a beating heart

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2013/jan/17/atos-attack-emotional-commons-debate

494 of us dying each week of cold

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/money/2011/nov/22/fuel-poverty-protestors-die-in-winter-deaths

1 in 500 of us currently being kept alive by responsible taxpayers at foodbanks leaping impressively to 1 in 250 of us by April

    http://blogs.channel4.com/factcheck/food-banks-is-cameron-on-the-money/12486

The blame for these deaths lies squarely with the terrorists who launched this vicious and cowardly attack.
