Miliband and Iain Grey at ATOS Scotland HQ in Livingstone Friday 21st January 2011

Above: Miliband and former Scottish Labour Leader Iain Grey at ATOS Scotland HQ in Livingstone Friday 21st January 2011. In the Scottish Parliament May elections in 2011 Grey narrowly retained his seat after a recount of votes in his constituency and an historic landslide victory of the SNP in an electoral system designed not to deliver such an overall majority. Neoliberal social security policies have seen a significant increase in support for an independent Scotland.

Labour leader Ed Miliband explains his brand of ‘one nation’ policies at the launch of Labour’s local election campaign on Monday. Miliband uses the launch to criticise the coalition’s benefit reforms, saying the process must be ‘done right’.

The Labour leader claims his party would use a fair assessment process while helping those who are able to get back into work

  1. I remember Thatcher. I remember well, I lived through her time. IT WAS NOTHING TO CROW ABOUT.Now her “SON” CAMERON is going to kill off the “CONS” forever. ED MILLY will do the same for LABOUR if he’s not VERY CAREFUL

  2. WTF is he saying and the rest of Labour……all MPs singing from same hymn sheet…..all

England’s ills and misfortunes blamed on the scrounging disabled, students, elderly but

    NOT bANKERS

  3. Listening to Miliband on his one nation talk about ATOS made me physically sick!

What a wanker. No wonder we are getting nowhere fast. With a mandate to improve a system not fit for purpose, we are pissing in the wind…….

Vote Labour to dig more graves and improve the bankers lifestyles.

Thoroughly disgusted and sold down the river.

  4. OH,, MIILYPEAD WELL IF THE COPS AND ARMY BOSSES CANT WORK BEYOND 55 WHY THE FUCK SHOULD THE ILL IF YOU ARE ILL YOU SHOULD NOT BE EXPECTED TO WORK.
IF YOU DID THAT TO A HORSE YOU WOULD BE LOCKED AWAY.JEFF LPH

  5. Why would they pressurise sick and disabled people into work, when there is not enough jobs for the able bodied to go round. This is about saving money, nothing else. We desperately need a new party of the left.

  6. Miliband really is a nauseating prick. When voter turnout for the next general election is pitifully low, this idiot will probably blame apathy. Well it isn’t apathy, it’s the fact that we have no fucking alternative to neo-liberal, money worshiping idiots like Miliband and Cameron.

e-petition - Stop Unfair Re-assessments For Disabled People

Responsible department: Department for Work and Pensions

Stop the unfair and cruel re-assessments via ATOS for disabled people currently on Incapacity Benefit. ESA is a flawed benefit, and puts terrible pressure and stress on vulnerable people, putting people who cannot work on lesser benefits and applying sanctions. Let disabled people decide for themselves if they can work, they and their carers know best.
