e-petition - Stop Unfair Re-assessments For Disabled People
Responsible department: Department for Work and Pensions
Stop the unfair and cruel re-assessments via ATOS for disabled people currently on Incapacity Benefit. ESA is a flawed benefit, and puts terrible pressure and stress on vulnerable people, putting people who cannot work on lesser benefits and applying sanctions. Let disabled people decide for themselves if they can work, they and their carers know best.

A great video – but you are preaching to the converted here – can’t this get a wider audience? this campaign has to go national otherwise nothing’s going to change. the bastards in government and at atos have to feel the weight of opinion.
No – the website articles are read and shared by hundreds of thousands of people – the reach is widening – so we are not just preaching to the converted – the unconverted and the presently ignorant are being reached too! We are ranked 10th of all UK political blogs by ebuzzing and we’ll probably exceed that again this month. Believe us, we’re doing everything we can. Please do likewise 😉 Cheers and Solidarity!
gutted as it would not play is there anything i need program wise to view? keep up the good work!
Very good video. I am sure that a lot more people will get to see this and other similar videos as a result of action over the Paralympic period. I was a “corpse” at the Cardiff demo last week and was struck by hat ound Cardiff Castle. ” Who are these Atos people then?” was a common question and there was shock when i told them the situation. A group of teenage boys asked me what was going on and listened and asked questions for over 20 minutes. The dismay and shock on their faces was very moving and they were determined to persue it on the web.
Direct action is a hugely powerful tool in our struggle. i lived through the Thatcher years, and it was only through direct action – e.g. the Poll Tax riots, that change happened.
It is a form of protest that frightens governments.
OOps, some of the text in my last post has gone haywire.
