Hi Everyone,

Our Remploy members have been overwhelmed by the messages of support they have received following the shameful announcement that 27 Remploy factories are to close imminently – with a big question mark hanging over the fate of the rest of the sites.  But Remploy workers need YOU this Thursday. This is their second day of strike action and they need YOUR support once again!

If you can visit one of the picket lines that would be fantastic and will give even more strength to our members in their continuing fight for a fair deal. Details of where the Remploy factories are can be found here.

There should be pickets at all these sites from early morning on Thursday, 26th July. If you can spare ten minutes, please do all you can to visit a picket line in your area – it really does mean a lot.

We will be delivering a document containing all the messages of support to the Government ministers responsible for these shameless decisions showing the solidarity of working people across Britain.  Messages such as: “Shame on you Iain Duncan Smith!” “You are right to stand up for jobs!” “Your future is worth fighting for!” “What the government is doing is wrong!”

Our Remploy members sincerely thank you for your continued support and would love to see you on their picket lines – Could you visit one of these factories tomorrow?

In solidarity,

Sally

e-petition - Stop Unfair Re-assessments For Disabled People

Responsible department: Department for Work and Pensions

Stop the unfair and cruel re-assessments via ATOS for disabled people currently on Incapacity Benefit. ESA is a flawed benefit, and puts terrible pressure and stress on vulnerable people, putting people who cannot work on lesser benefits and applying sanctions. Let disabled people decide for themselves if they can work, they and their carers know best.
