LOUISE DAVIDSON suffers from cystic fibrosis but her benefits have just been cut and the DWP are taking back her mobility car because she was able to walk from one side of a room to the other.

Louise Davidson, 20, who has struggled with the condition since birth, had been receiving £130 a week.
She must now survive on £21.
To make matters worse, the Department for Work and Pensions are taking back her Seat Leon mobility car.
The blow comes six months after Louise, from Paisley, had her gruelling transplant.
Her claim for Disability Living Allowance was checked by sending a GP to her flat to examine her.

Now she fears she won’t be able to cope. She said:
“I still have my bills and my rent to pay. I don’t feel that I am fit to work but how else can I get the money I need?
“I’m so tired that I can hardly move and I have to wait on a friend to come make me dinner.
“What has happened to me is not fair. It’s not like I will be on benefits for the rest of my life but I’m entitled to it and I need it just now.”
Her MSP George Adam said he was “shocked and disgusted” by what had happened.
He added:
“She will need time to recover and taking away her benefits will only hamper her recovery.
“On top of this, to take away her mobility car is downright scandalous. I am sickened that Westminster is treating many of my constituents like this.”
A DWP spokesman said:
“Higher rate DLA mobility is paid to help people who are either unable to walk or virtually unable to walk.
“If a person’s mobility changes gradually over time, they might not get the benefit any more or they might get a different rate.
“People also have the right to appeal if they don’t agree with a decision.”

The DWP really have hit an all-time low with this one. What a bunch of TOSSERS! DWP = Department of Wankers and Procrastinators.
Believe me, they can, will and do go much lower. Under the guise of austerity, this government has put into place a eugenics scheme that would have shocked 1930’s Germany – Stopping benefits for the sick and disabled, demonising them and those who are unemployed is designed to kill off the former and put fear into those who can find work – but the one thing that ties this government with the National Socialist German Workers’ Party of 1930’s is the cash incentives given to hospitals and practices to euthanize elderly patients and sickly / disabled infants.
Thank you – for spelling out something which I knew to be true but felt ungable to vocalise about calmly. The rise of extreme neo-nazism in Greece is another example of how those in power are achieving a planned eugenics programme using economic pressure. Everyone knows that gangs of nazis are terrorising immigrants in Greece but while they are making payments to the bankers, no one will do anything about it. The loss of civil rights in Spain and shortly here (Cameron is taking away our right to even KNOW what laws are being passed along with our ability to appeal) are really big danger signals that I thought no one could see.
We MUST stay alert and not be pressured into further erosion of what few rights we have. The issues are still that entire countries are being FORCED into handing over control to faceless, unelected bankers. There are alternatives, read about what Iceland did, there is hope but we must stick together!
How disgusting is this. What a way to treat such a brave young girl, who has gone through so much. Any operation is no walk in the park let alone one such as this.
The season of goodwill? The DWP and ATOS collusion is an absolute disgrace, it’s about time their unamed spokesmen were named alongside the drivel they spout.
This is one case highlighted but there are thousands more.

Amazing how they use the excuse of it being necessary for the good of the country, yet we do not see any of the silver spoon parasites at the top of ‘Society’ suffering at all. I bet our UNELECTED Head of State has not suffered any cutbacks, in fact how much was wasted on that disgusting spectacle known as ‘The Jubilee Celebrations’?? This country is disgusting!

Well said on the Nazi Party reference it also applies to the Workfare Scheme , did’nt the Nazi’s also give free labour to their friends in big business the same as the Tories are doing now, there’s absoloutely no difference in their regard to Human Rights here,,standing next to someone doing the exact same job but for a lot less, remember the last time they were in power and their lack of Humanity their YOP then YTS schemes, then things like giving Scotland the Polltax (Shamefull Practice) a year earlier than the rest of the country to test the waters before ppl eventually seen them for what they are, and as time passes and new generations of voters not old enough to remember their last Crimes against their own ppl ( the likes of selling every asset the ppl had built up since the War 2, British Gas, Telecom, British Rail, Housing , etc,, I don’t think the Tories will be happy until Jeeves is back as Butler and Mrs Muggins is back in the kitchen and calling them M’am and M’Lord is the House rule because never forget these are the same ppl who’s Grandparents had Servants, Oh and i know they still do,,but this way they get the right to a minimum wage at least and can still say ‘NO’ if they want…( BUT I DON’T THINK IT’LL BE FOR LONG IF THEY CAN HAVE THEIR WAY)…!!!!???

I read this post with lot of indignation.
What the hell is wrong with these people, for someone to lose 85% of their benefits when recovering from a double lung transplant is disgusting and as for losing her mobility vehicle because she can walk across a room is absolutly rediculess, no doubt the DWP thinks she will be capable of finding a job the width of her livingroom from home. They are complete and utter assholes!
