e-petition - Stop Unfair Re-assessments For Disabled People
Responsible department: Department for Work and Pensions
Stop the unfair and cruel re-assessments via ATOS for disabled people currently on Incapacity Benefit. ESA is a flawed benefit, and puts terrible pressure and stress on vulnerable people, putting people who cannot work on lesser benefits and applying sanctions. Let disabled people decide for themselves if they can work, they and their carers know best.

What an abomination. Unemployed people have to sleep rough under a bridge before working for nothing at the Pageant. So this is the true face of the Tory government, the DWP, Atos and Unum, I doubt you could get a fag paper between them as the unemployed become just another political football to be kicked around at the behest of anyone who wants a job doing for nothing. How is this work experience? How will they land a job? I doubt there are not many ‘stewarding’ jobs around these days! Until we get real training, real jobs and kick start the economy this country will never recover but Cameron, Clegg and Osbourne just can’t see it, there is none so blind as those who don’t want to see. Austerity in a depression is like a double whammy, pity they don’t seem to care.
There’s a word for unpaid labour-slavery. Words escape me-how low and cruel can the
architects and donkeys of this appalling system go. My heart goes out to the abused people who had no real choice but to go along with this barbaric charade. May they
keep strong. Courage!
They weren’t hired they were press-ganged!!! This is government sactioned abuse on a massive scale and the general population don’t give a toss so long as it’s not them!
