Atos is a company paid millions to carry out medical examinations on behalf of the government, with the purpose of determining if people are really entitled to sickness benefits. Disabled, sick and mentally ill people are put on trial to prove they aren’t able to work. In these examinations, you are no longer deemed to be a person deserving of humanity, dignity or respect. If you do not fit into precise tick boxes and meet very specific and complicated criteria, then no matter what you say, no matter what your doctor says, no matter what is glaringly obvious, you are fit to work. Now I want you to imagine you become very ill……. Everyday is a struggle for you and you cannot work, so you reluctantly survive on benefits. You are called to a medical examination with Atos, where you are treated as a liar, a scrounger and a cheat! You’re benefits are taken away. You are left feeling humiliated, cast aside and have no money to live. How will you feed yourself? How will you keep a roof over your head? How can you prove you are sick when you have too little strength to fight. You will be told you must look for a job in one of the worst job markets this country has ever seen. This is wrong. Tell Atos this is wrong. Tell your MP this is wrong. No to cutting sickness and disability benefits, |

Really want to be there but not able to speak/move most mornings and my home help is here doing her thang till 11.30. Will see how I’m doing that week and what I can negotiate with me bod!!! Darn. REALLY want to be there so will aim and see if I fire!!! 🙂
