    Obama is not left wing, nor is he anti war. He is only seen as such because of the shift of US politics as a whole to the right. Just as “Labour” policies are only slightly left of the tories. Giving the easy merger of the con-dems and the pervasive market fundamentalism in uk politics it is going to take a major shift to see an effective left wing opposition.
