HomeBlogThursday 17th January 2013 DWP-Atos Work Capability Assessments House of Commons Debate
  • Christopher January 19, 2013 at 1:47 pm

As I’ve said already elsewhere I watched this debate at the time of airing, and having just re-read the transcript I can’t believe how much Hoban is in denial.

Amongst numerous things he claims Atos is only getting slated because of all the scaremongering in the press and media?? What press? What media?? There hasn’t been anywhere near enough coverage on this.

He also claims the BMA say GP’s ‘ARE NOT’ in a position to say if someone is fit for work or not and shouldn’t be asked to?? Duh!! Doesn’t issuing sick notes amount to the same thing??..Dumb mofo

I wholeheartedly agree with John McDonnell who tweeted:

‘Coalition minister backs Atos and rejects calls from MPs to scrap WCA system. When Parliament fails, no other alternative but direct action’

I don’t condone violence because I think that just plays into their hands, but sometimes direct action is all these morons understand.

When it comes to benefits recipients, look how quickly they are keen to say that we don’t have the right to consult our OWN G.P’s….fucking SCANDELOUS.

Reading war comics as a kid, they always gave you an idea of who the enemy was but with these Fascists wielding computers it shows that George Carling (american stand-up comedian)is totally right when he says ‘We killed hitler….but we didn’t kill Fascism”.

People should get the focus of who is responsible for this total disaster into perspective:’NEW’ LABOUR and Ed Balls,THAT is who started the Atos ball rolling.

The conservatives are cunts and don’t need to be vindictive or cruel but we have to remember that this insanity is cross party wide and all of the parties are responsible for the people that have killed themselves or been victims of ‘medical’ neglect by Atos and their miraculous LIMA computer programme that KILLS people.

I know cyberspace is becoming interractive but a computer programme that kills people is taking this to a totally new level of radical evil.

The only things that bother this bunch of in-humans is money. We need to find out what company or business interest they all have and have a mass boycott of them all. We need to start hitting these morons in their pockets and bank accounts.

Anyone notice that Mr Hoban totally REFUSED to ‘giveway’ each & every time, when another MP rose to speak?

Well said Christopher, I just could not bring myself to watch the debate because these Tory creeps make my skin crawl.

They have their agenda and are hell bent on getting their own way and listening to no one.

Facts and figures matter little to them when it is against their policies. There is no humanity empathy or compassion present in these Atos supporters.

After listening to the many empassioned arguments against the WCA with many real life examples given of people suffering they still coldly ignore the facts put in front of them.

If doctors and consultants are not qualified to make a decision about who is fit for work then who is?
Of course we should leave all decisions to Atos they walk on water, a two week course on disability denial and they are experts, perhaps they can make our bodies go into denial and we can all be well again – instant cure via Atos.

But seriously there is something not right about this whole contract given to Atos and why this coalition steadfastly refuses to investigate and do anything about them. Why Atos are not publicly accountable, it is tax payers money after all that they are squandering, they just seem to be immune.

The media has steadfastly ignored the problem, yesterday headlines were dominated by the snow. I mean really, it is winter it snows sometime get over it, the BBC dedicated a good twenty minutes of its news programme to it! Quite incredible.

They need to be stopped in any way possible I don’t think there is any other choice, how many more have to suffer over the next few years.

If I ever saw Hoban or any other of this goon squad I would salute them and pronounce “Heil Hitler”

The system is ‘working’ just the way they like it, Jay. We must take to the streets! It’s the only way.

  • Nigel Burke January 19, 2013 at 4:08 pm

Ok, so we’re all outraged, upset, worried about the future…… So what are we going to do about it?

I also wholeheartedly agree with John McDonnell who tweeted:

‘Coalition minister backs Atos and rejects calls from MPs to scrap WCA system. When Parliament fails, no other alternative but direct action’

So. When? Where? Its now or never.

  • jay January 19, 2013 at 8:31 pm

Politicians are untouchable you can’t get close to them unless an election is on.

Atos & DWP should be the targets select a few prominent offices around our major cities and blockade them

Get as many people in wheel chairs as possible to help with the blockade, others can
display banners, some hand out leaflets with info for the general public.

Someone to film for Youtube in case heavy handed authorities try to push us out of the way etc.

    • Nigel Burke January 20, 2013 at 6:23 pm

(Capitals added for effect 😉 )

Just a thought, and I’m not disagreeing with you, but your Local politicians most certainly Are available. Local and Parish Councils are where Democracy starts, are they not?
Go there! Protest at Those Meetings!

Then watch people scurry around bombarding Their MP, On Your Behalf, demanding something is done to protect then from the backlash to their policies, and to appease their electorate as they damn well should.

The BBC, Daily Mail, Shitty Sun are also legitimate targets.

See this fantastic piece about the Bankers Debt.

‘Coalition minister backs Atos and rejects calls from MPs to scrap WCA system. When Parliament fails, no other alternative but direct action”.

The unionist’s brought Northern Ireland to a standstill in the 1970’s, we could learn something about protesting successfully from them.

    • Nigel Burke April 5, 2013 at 1:56 am

Good point Serenity. There may indeed be lessons to be learned there.

  • Tia Junior January 20, 2013 at 11:25 am

Attendance levels at the debate says it all – c40?. There is no real interest from any party.

  • K Peake January 20, 2013 at 2:26 pm

Thank God Almighty for capable, discerning politicians like Michael Meacher MP.

73 of us dying each week of Atos (DWP)

No record of the 43% of us found fit for work who aren’t working or receiving benefits the following year which will mean nothing to the gangster squad but be of terrible concern to anyone with a beating heart

494 of us dying each week of cold

1 in 500 of us currently being kept alive by responsible taxpayers at foodbanks leaping impressively to 1 in 250 of us by April

The blame for these deaths lies squarely with the terrorists who launched this vicious and cowardly attack.

Sign this petition to show the gangster squad what happens when they defame, illegitimise and abandon disabled people:
