I have experienced hate crime and once tried to report an incident to the police, but, the response was that they didn’t know anything about it…. should have gone through a Hate Crime reporting centre I guess, still, as I worked for one and did report crimes through this, I knew that even if I did this nothing would happen as the police on the forum generally pointed to someone’s mental health issues as being ‘the real cause of the problem’
